Worship is the center of Zion’s life together.
We celebrate on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. with education for all ages
at 9:30 a.m. As Christians of the
Lutheran heritage we believe that proclamation of God’s Word and celebration
of the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion are integral to our worship
life. We celebrate Holy Communion
every Sunday and for all festivals of the Church. Music is important to our worship. It is a special way that
we seek to praise God. Therefore,
we use a variety of styles with organ, piano and guitar accompaniment along with
other instruments such as flute, saxophone and percussion to enhance the worship
experience for all. Founded in 1896, Zion is part of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America. Our faith in God
the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as creator, redeemer and guide/comforter is
rooted in the Bible, the ancient creeds of the Church and in the historic
Lutheran confessional statements. Zion welcomes all people who seek a place of worship and prayer, a word of comfort, or membership in a loving faith community. |
